An ambitious entrepreneur Vuyiswa Mtsweni, old woman from Mpumalanga has turned her passion for agriculture into a, that not only sustains her but empowers her community as well.
Vuyiswa's farm was a small business where she grows of crops and raised live stocks but with determination, hard work and the support of, her business began to grow. Whereby, today her business is now registered as Hope of Foundation of Holdings.
“My journey began in 2018 when I started a small farm, selling vegetables and chicken at affordable price for my community”. Said Vuyiswa Mtsweni.
Vuyiswa’s success has not only brought her personal fulfillment but has also enabled her to give back to her community, she provides learnerships programs and training to community members offering experience in agriculture, and she also supports poor household by distrusting food parcels making difference in the lives of those around her.
Khensani khoza , 23 years old candidate who participate in learnership program said, “I’m so grateful for the opportunity that has given to me, it is much better than staying at home and doing nothing even the stipend we received is enough to provide my basic needs”.
The impact of Vuyiswa’s farm it has become a vital part of local community, supplying poultry and plants to the community. Her commitment to giving back to community has serves as inspiration to others. “Since I started working at Hope of Foundation of Holdings things are much better, I have gained a lot of experience and developed valuable skills in planting”. Said Thabang Sekwaba one of the colleagues.
Vuyiswa journey highlighted the importance of community support in business growth and the value of empowering others through skills development and job creation.
